... We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

wow really? its been 2 months since I last posted??? well February doesn't count due to its shortness but wowsas. well I never promised consistency, lol. I don't know... I had seriously one of those low moments where you kinda hit a wall in life and you start to ponder and second guess everything. I had the what am I doing with my life, job; had the "its not you...[no really its you]/lets just be friends" convo- to where yes... no... we are just friends and then my lease ended on my apartment. While I like to decorate my body in the art form that's fashion... interior decoration is not really up my alley. I peruse Apartment Therapy and Deco blogs much like the next person but when I realized I lived in my place over a year without much movement on my end to make it a home...rather then just a place I eat and take a shower it depressed me even further. Well instead of buying a sweater... I bought something for the apartment. And since I become obsessive compulsive about things then threw myself headfirst into decorating and re-organizing my apartment. So some 2 months later (and some paint in the hair) I actually adore I don't have wires strewn about and my walls are no longer an apartment yellow-white pretending to be beige. In the process I also lost the wall I liked to take OOTD shots against- so I will have to figure that out (back to the closet I go) and I got a couple more projects that I'm going to tackle. but its been a productive couple months and I look forward to [trying to] blog again...albeit with a lot of home deco post sprinkled in.

Isn't this video just amazing? When I first saw it I instantly recognized it as the streets of Oakland. I went to university close by and while living in East Bay-  Oakland became one of those cities....by the lake* that I got to know intimately. The city gets a bum rap and not undeservedly so. There has been instances where sitting and chilling watching a movie was interrupted by the sound of semi-automatics but on the other side of that coin are crazy-talented and creative, street or college educated people who live there, as evident by this short youtube video, who are trying to share it with the world.

*Oakland joke. Everyone lives "by the lake" ...and usually they do. Lake Merrit is a hella big lake.
